The power of Jesus is Rising in Japan… it's time now! Japan for Jesus!

Meet “Testimony” (Conheçam a “Testemunho”)

I am very grateful to God for one more door that He has opened in my life.

I met Takako Sensei (pianist) and Yoshi Kun (bassist) about 7 months ago, and then we started getting together just to jam and play around, but in that time, with no purpose of becoming a band or anything, just playing and worshiping God was enough for us. After some time that we were together, I showed them some songs I had made in Portuguese, and thanks God they liked it, and Takako Sensei showed me some of her own composition, and then we thought: “hey, we could play our own songs around and through that worship and preach the gospel to all!”, and so we decided to become a band and start practicing regularly. I feel very happy because even in Japanese churches, we play my Portuguese songs.

We decided to name our band “Testimony” right after a happening of a really happy event, that was right after Yoshi Kun received Jesus in his heart! Praise the Lord! Cause when we first met, he wasn’t a newborn believer… he said he was waiting to have an encounter with God so that then he could take the next step. You see? That was the mistake… that’s not how things work…  How can you have an encounter with someone who is standing on the other side of the door? You have to open the door and let that person in, so that then, and only THEN, you can start having not only an encounter… but many encounters with God! Because his glory renews everyday! May God continue, through our “Testimony”, reaching out to save more people for His glory!

I really want to thank God because last week we had our first band trip, and it was AWESOME! Pastor Luis Kokumu invited us to go and lead the worship in his church up in FUJI! What a privilege! Got 3 pictures from our first trip, that I took from my iphone… please continue praying for missions here in Japan! Hope to hear how you all are doing! leave me a comment or write me a message! God bless!

“Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” (Zechariah 4:6)

Glorias a Deus!

Me deixem comentários ou me escrevam uma mensagem!

  2. Music has always been a suceessful way to make people know and accept Jesus in their hearts, to open up their hearts and mind for the Glory of Him, and God has given you the talent. Brother, believe me, no one can play the battery and sax the way you do… it just sounds great! I’m sure your band will be great for the Praise of Lord and you’ll see how God will use it as a tool for His purposes in your life, in Japenese’s lives as well. My friend, you’re a blessed man and i’m very happy for you. Soon you’ll be married to a beautiful young lady, who loves God as much as you do and, by the way, she’s a musician too, so that she could join the band!! =) you see how God is acting in all ways in your life, involving all the ones you love for the mission?? isn’t that wonderful?? =) God bless you and keep you strong and healthy my brother. Luv ya, take care… you already know, you can always count on me =) see ya
